I think that javAPRS initiated the practice of regularly sending a beacon tha begins "<IGATE" with some status after it. This appears to be another one of those undocumented "APRS standard practices"; the documentation indicates how to configure the status beacon, but doesn't indicate what get sent. I'd like to teach aprs4r to similar beacons, since I know there are people mining the ARPS-IS for them to try to map out igate locations. Would someone please provide the details (and perhaps put them somewhere that a google search will find them)? Thanks! 73 de chris K6DBG
