[aprssig] Kenwood D7 software on Linux?

Hi folks,

Has anyone succeeded in running the Kenwood radio software (MD7G110) under Linux under Wine (Crossover Office)? I'm running OpenSuSE 11.1, KDE 3.5, etc. The GUI comes up fine, but I can't access the radio. The serial port is a "real" one (not via USB), and I can talk to the TNC in the Kenwood via Kermit, so I know the serial port is working.

I went into the Crossover "bottle" and created a symbolic link from com2 to /dev/ttyS4, but that didn't help.

Anything else I can try?

Greg KO6TH
