APRS-IS recently split out the CWOP non-ham weather traffic into a
separate network, because of the volume.

This sounds like a non-ham application, and maybe not appropriate for APRS-IS.

It really depends on the volume of traffic and how many people are
interested in contributing/receiving the data.
