Best routine (to help us all share our slow VHF channel) is to disregard any recommendation for any three-hop digipath. Problem solved. Remember, with so many IGates and fill-in digis today, most of us can well meet the needs of our particular intended audience by routinely setting our VHF transmitters to use a digipath of only WIDE1-1. Simply to suit our audience's purposes, we may not even need to transmit our data quite so frequently on VHF either! <grin> 73, Cap > -----Original Message----- > From: aprssig-bounces at tapr.org [mailto:aprssig-bounces at tapr.org] On > Behalf Of Steve Noskowicz > Sent: Wednesday, November 04, 2009 7:17 AM > To: 'TAPR APRS Mailing List'; bruninga at usna.edu > Subject: Re: [aprssig] WIDEn-N question My Summary > > > > Bob, > > Sorry 'bout that. > > Here is what I'm testing my understanding on: > > /nit flag on/ > > I think this may be called an oxymoron - a (necessariyl) self > conflicting standard. > > Though this is "recommended" for mobile 3-hop : WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2 <snip>
