But very clear and I didn't even ask the Q.  It took me a while to figure out the basics of that thing at the end of the message list on the D700, but this fits well with what I managed to figure out.  

The message "Store and forward not good" part is also clear/obvious.

I think of it as simply an "ack tracker" number.
 Scarry that this is making sense...
