Different regions have alternate channels with far more bandwidth and are wide open to new functions that would indeed clog 39 if all that activity was restricted to that one location. Here in the Pacific Northwest there are at least five 9600 baud channels with APRS traffic and two are focused on APRS. We have lots of bandwidth just looking for new applications. Bill - WA7NWP
