Yes, this is identified as FIX #12 on the aprs.org/fix14439.html
page.  And not only does it move 50% of the traffic load off of
144.39, it also is available for LOCAL mobiles to monitor on the
UHF channel if desired.

And locals know it is there because there is an OBJECT for it on
144.39.
