We proposed it back in about 1985 or so for packet and since packet has died and since there are some crystal rigs still laying around in attics, why not go with it. So all the digis and mobiles in the DC area are on 50.62. Is there any 6m APRS activity in Europe? If there is, what frequency are you using? The common AX.25 packet frequency was 50.650, I wonder if there are any nodes left? It would be nice to experiment with 6m packet. What frequency should be used? 50.650 or something +/- n*20 kHz off? I suppose most radios here are programmable, not crystal control, so the choice is more or less free. Benjamin OH3BK -- Live Reports from the Taxman's Paradise!
