Seeing just another callsign in the list of the other 99 calligns on the APRS mobile front panel station list does nothing to inform the driver that there is a local frequency object in range. Repeater callsigns are completely meaningless to anyone but the owner... Or few club members that give a hoot... So by having the object name be the frequency, it not only shows up easily in the station list, 5 or more at a time, but can be sorted on by "call" in the D710 and FTM350 so that they all pop to the top of the station list.. Next in the list after this sort are the Echolink and IRLP node number objects. The only thing that counts to the mobile, is the frequency, or if he is telling someone by APRS message to give him a call on Echolink, then the Echolink number. Bob, Wb4APR
