Don't forget to set your APRS radio for Voice Alert when on the open road this busiest travel day of the year! While you are sitting there stuck in traffic, enjoy the company of a new ham passing by in the other direction typically every 10 minutes... (though 98% of them are not running voice alert, so you don't know they are there)... If you don't understand Voice Alert, see www.aprs.org/VoiceAlert3.html Or if you aren't running it, you can still listen for passing APRS mobiles in simplex range that are, simply by tuning ANY mobile rig to 144.39 with CTCSS set to 100 (in the USA).
