We ended up changing the repeater to a new frequency. I have the same problem with all of my VX-8 units. My DR has the spur any time the GPS is connected. My GR has it any time the GPS power is on. It's really really annoying because one of the largest most wide-coverage repeaters here is 147.32, which is nearly unusable as a result.
