Hi Kris, 9600 baud - We use that on UHF and VHF here in the pacific northwest. It would be good for a backbone but it's not needed for 'legacy APRS' as it overwhelms the user in the equation. Also it doesn't let the trackers get off the main channel and they're the ones that really should be off the main channel... 6 meters - 50.62 is the default packet frequency and with so little other packet use it's seen some APRS activity..
