A few questions to narrow it down a bit:

What servers are you connecting to?
What port?
What filter string have you configured?
What software are you using as the client?

I'm testing our new server software, aprsc, on finland.aprs2.net and a 
couple of other servers. If you're connecting that server, it might be a 
bug in it.

Some servers are also running the new javaprssrvr 4.0 which has some 
differences to 3.15.

So, we'll need to find out if you're connecting to one of these. If not, 
it is probably an issue in the client configuration.
