Ideally, all mapping GPS receivers would correctly interpret the WPL 
string as defined in the NMEA0183 spec 
(http://www.gpsinformation.org/dale/nmea.htm#WPL) and display the 
received waypoints on the map.

You may want to talk to Scott Miller at Argent Data or Don Arnold, 
AvMap's U.S. representative, to see how their devices are handling 
this interface.
