looks like we're all getting closer to this.. let me just say that you could 
also just put in OBJ instead of object maybe?

as far as the symbol goes yes you will need to delineate it some how and i 
second having [] for no specific symbol defaulting maybe to "X" if one is 
not specified?

the only other issue i would see is the afore mentioned object name clashes 
and moving to another spot once it hits the IS system.

ill see what i can come up with over the weekend once we've all hashed it 
out so to speak.
