Just for an additional data point, I've used the SkyTraq Venus638FLPx (see http://www.sparkfun.com/products/11058 for a complete solution) and if cost/space is an issue, the SkyTraq SUP500R/F is available with integrated antenna for $28 shipped (quantity 10).
