[aprssig] NUVI-350 Map update question

Hello All,I run a NUVI-350 with the Argent GTran cable, excellent setup.However, I would like to update the map with one of the SD Card map updates mainly because it seams to be a cheaper route.
If any of you have done this I would like to know if there were any issues with either the gps or aprs functionality afterward?

I almost purchased a new larger 5" gps for my aging eyes a few times but really want the aprs functions to work correctly with the GTran cable.
