Seriously, though, the fact that this balloon survived the night without any ballasting is just as incredible as the recent multiple-day flight of a latex weather balloon. Neither of these things should be - nor have been - possible. The weather balloon behaved exactly like a polyester superpressure balloon (it didn't even leak any gas for days!) and this one is acting like one of Lally's RACOONs, but at far too low of an altitude.
