Well, that's interesting. I have examples of both obvious pascals and the other units both on weather stations deployed by my own county's ARES/RACES group (reasonable: N3ESS-2, N3XRV-2, W3AHR-2, unexpected: AA3QN-2, N3NTP-2), and they _did_ mention something at a recent meeting about getting replacement weather sensors for some of the deployments. But, even so, _no_ station in my area is reporting in 10s of pascals, as specified by APRS 1.0.1. Have you determined the source of their data? Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE for Windows Mobile and Win32 On 11/4/2012 9:21 PM, Andrew P. wrote: Greetings, all. There seems to be a discrepancy between the APRS protocol specifications and what stations are actually sending regarding barometric pressure values. The APRS 1.0.1 specification says on pages 64 and 67 that pressure should be reported in tenths of hectopascals (or tens of pascals), but most stations (at least in my area) seem to be transmitting pressure in pascals. But there are other stations transmitting other units (what units could a pressure of 8272 be?). Is this a bug, or a change in the specification that I haven't found in the newer revisions of the protocol specification?
