I just started to play with FAP - Finnish APRS Parser (Fabulous APRS Parser) The main reason was that i wanted to use APRSC for a project but i also needed all the data to be stored into a database. So by using the examples from FAP and the table structure from javaaprssrv i made a quick beta that i have posted on github. https://github.com/LA3QMA/FAPClient2MySQL What does it do? You can connect to an APRS-IS server with whatever filter and store the data you receive into MySQL for later pleasure. Probably several bugs as i don't know Perl but everything can be learned i guess. I'm new to git too btw ;-) The goal is to use a different database structure and to make other tables for messages, last digipeated path etc. But first i want the tool to work properly.
