[aprssig] APRSPro iPhone app "warning message"

Seems someone using a call sign of TEST used this option in aprs pro and because we have a reverse igate in the area, caused serious message spam. Here is a screen shot of the function from my iPhone (no, I did not press transmit :P). 

If the developer of this app is on here, what exactly is the purpose of this function? Isn't that what the EMERGENCY MIC-E status is for?
