Kantronics digis have a CR in their beacons. OpenTracker doesn't add a CR, but I guess you knew that :-) Your guess on using a TNC in converse/terminal mode is probably in many cases related to whether a CR is added or not. I've also seen packets that end in a CR-CR-LF combination in the APRS-IS feed. It also looks like most of the TNCs use AX.25 version 1 for sending the UI frames as source and destination callsign have the C-bit set to either both zero or both one. I guess in practice it doesn't matter which version you use, the rest of the packet has the same structure anyway. Tapio
