Actually, the Imprimis article is something that might be classified as terrorism itself. The only purpose of the article is to pander on FUD. The key point which the author neglects to mention, is the STRENGTH of the "specialized device" that would be needed, and whether there is in fact any party capable of manufacturing such a device, and then launching it in the prescribed manner. Given the absence of that information, one can only presume there is no real risk of a massive national EMP event in the foreseeable future. There are other more real risks in this world, including domestic terrorist politicians such as the author. But if you find any hard facts on EMP, I'd be glad to hear them--in another more appropriate forum. They've got nothing to do with 802.11 equipment per se.
