[nos-bbs] Terminal performance detail

I wonder if my system [FC-4] is performing differently...

After the jnos prompt:
Area: k8rra (#0) >
my system permits me to begin input at the beginning of the next line.

My typical experience is that input begins immediately after the prompt
on the same line.

Is this characteristic a parameter setting?
