You can forward port 23 to JNOS like: /sbin/iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -d 192.168.101.73 -p tcp --dport 23 -j DNAT --to-destination 44.1.2.3:23 With 44.1.2.3 your Jnos ip number 73, Bob VE3TOK ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Vodall" <wa7nwp at jnos.org> To: "TAPR xNOS Mailing List" <nos-bbs at lists.tapr.org> Sent: October 13, 2005 2:55 PM Subject: [nos-bbs] JNOS from MODEM login under Linux I'm working on attaching a "special" modem to the local Ham linux boxes here. (More on the "special" soon...) I was originally using the modem directly from JNOS so a calling user would receive the BBS prompt. With a bit of tweaking that worked well. Now I'm going to put the modem on a 'getty' so I can call in and either get a Linux shell account or PPP connection to the network. I don't want to loose the ability to call in to JNOS. Maybe it is possible to setup a special logon user entry where the shell command is replaced with a telnet to the JNOS system So instead of: /bin/bash I'll put something like: /bin/telnet 192.168.101.73 where port 23 of 192.168.101.73 is the BBS on the JNOS system. Has anybody tried this or have comments on if it will work? Thanks, Bill - WA7NWP _______________________________________________ nos-bbs mailing list nos-bbs at lists.tapr.org https://lists.tapr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/nos-bbs
