What I had to do with my Dlinks was to add the system that had whatever I was doing to the DMZ and it would work. Only problem here is that you can only add one machine to the DMZ. BTW, what Dlink router is being used? There were some issues I saw a few years ago with a DLINK router that wouldn't do anything like that at all.
