The SMTP should work out of the box with the installer.

IF you have not touched any of the files, then the SMTP
should work for local mail. The routing should not matter
in that case.

QUESTIONS :

   1) what version and distribution of LINUX ?

   2) what kind of machine is it ? Is it a 64 bit machine ?

   3) what version of glibc do you have installed ?

REQUEST :

   1) send me the autoexec.nos that was generated by your
      installer. Unedited, send it to me as it was created
      when you ran the installer.
