JNOS does not "mask" the eth0 network port. What you have (for practical purposes) is a virtual machine which may or may not require a LAN connection. The TUN interface is just another interface that JNOS can route data through. Post your config and I'll take a look. This is still a JNOS machine and so all the normal rules apply.
