Nothing very hard here just a > bit of routing. Since I'm N1URO's "chum" to whom NI2O (G7LTT) is referring, I feel somewhat qualified to comment. :) N1URO doesn't "run" the global amprnet gateway system. The global amprnet gateway system exists because of WB6CYT, who supplies the master router for the amprnet in his office at UCSD, and N7VR, who supplies the amprnet gateways robot for registering IP routing entries for permanently (non- dynamically) IP-assigned amprnet gateways. What N1URO *does* provide is hardware and bandwidth to support: 1) DGipip, to permit dynamically IP-assigned gateways to participate, 2) IPUDP, to permit IPIP filtered gateways to participate, and, 3) SAFE, to permit source address filtered gateways to provide IP connectivity between amprnet PCs behind gateways and non-amprnet machines on the internet. Each of the above items are available only to amprnet gateways that are running on platforms which support them. Not all platforms support all "features". -- 73, de Barry, K2MF >> k2mf at ptd.net
