Hello Brooke,
This thing had me pulling my hair out for about a month a year ago.
Here is the solution
Run regedit program
Open Key_Local_Machine
system
CurrentControlSet
Enum
ACPI
PNP0501
open PNP0501
Open Device Parameters
create New DWORD Value (then rigth click)
put name [SkipEnumerations]
open SkipEnumerations
put Value data [ffffffff] hexadecimal
do that for each serial port.
I hope all that is clear enough, back up your registry before doing
this.
