Hello Brooke,

This thing had me pulling my hair out for about a month a year ago.
Here is the solution

Run regedit program
      Open Key_Local_Machine
        system
          CurrentControlSet
           Enum
            ACPI
              PNP0501
open PNP0501
Open Device Parameters
create New DWORD Value (then rigth click)
        put name [SkipEnumerations]
open SkipEnumerations
        put Value data [ffffffff] hexadecimal

do that for each serial port.

I hope all that is clear enough, back up your registry before doing
this.

regards,

Angel
