The Oncores that were 'cold started' without a battery for the almanac and some other parameters were the only ones that needed to receive the @@Cg command to bring them out of the idle mode. Most of the Motorola customers purchased the Oncore VP with the builtin nicad battery and were initialized at the factory. Do you have access to a PC that can run either WinOncore 12 or Russ Hamblin's TAC32? Have you issued the @@Cg command? What model Oncore are you using? As far as I know the GT, UT and MT units don't require the @@Cg command. Only the VP and maybe the VT had an idle mode.
