I have spent some time researching this problem. There are many, many people who are trying to build C++ applications for NET 2.0 with the precisely this same problem. Unfortunately no useful solutions have been posted. There are two obscure DLL's that are not found (using a 3rd party tool called Dependency Walker). And they are in fact not on my computer (but it still runs on my development system anyway). MS has some deeply buried bug in their compiler or linker here. I installed the BETA of Service PACK 1 for the Compiler/Linker, but it did not fix the problem. So the BETA will remain not-useful for awhile until I can track down the problem. It might work if you have a VS2005 development system installed (well, some people reported that it helped, but not for the VNA application). -- Tom, N5EG -----Original Message----- From: vna-bounces at lists.tapr.org [mailto:vna-bounces at lists.tapr.org] On Behalf Of Hollingsworth, Tommy Sent: Tuesday, November 14, 2006 8:22 AM To: vna at lists.tapr.org Subject: [vna] RE: vna Digest, Vol 11, Issue 2 I have a similar problem with 2.o. I have .net 2.o installed. After installation I receive the following error when I attempt to execute VNAR3 rev 2.0: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem. This message is in a grey box with a white X in a red circle on the left. I have reinstalled 3 times with no success. I had the .net 2.0 installed, and had no luck with the Beta 2.0. I uninstalled the V2.0 .net and reinstalled the latest version just to be sure. Still no luck with the Beta. I just tried it again so I could get the error message (which I am attaching), and it acted different this time, in that it went out and downloaded .net 2.0 and installed it before installing the VNA package. I still get the error though. Wow, that one's going to take awhile to find, as the error message is not generated by the VNA application, but within (I guess) some Microsoft software somewhere. MS's error message is as unhelpful to me as it is to you! Sounds like time to, post a query on the MS development boards... -- Tom, N5EG > -----Original Message----- > From: vna-bounces at lists.tapr.org > [mailto:vna-bounces at lists.tapr.org] On Behalf Of Stan Rife > Sent: Monday, November 13, 2006 6:07 PM > To: 'TAPR/Ten-Tec VNA Users List' > Subject: RE: [vna] Uncalibrated message > > > Ok, Tom.
