Version 2.0 of the VNA software has been loaded to the TAPR website.

It's a released version (no longer beta). It obsoletes BETA 2.0.3.

Version 2.0 looks more Office-2003-like in color scheme, menu bars,

and dialogs.

Issue 5 of the instruction manual has also been uploaded, and applies

to VNA version 2.0.

 

Compared to Version 1.6, Version 2.0 adds the following features:

 

1. Ported from VS2003 to VS2005.  There is a free VS2005 tool set

(Express Edition) available from Microsoft. Version 2.0 of the VNA

software requires the Microsoft .NET 2.0 runtime, which you will have

to download from MS if you do not already have it (about 23 MB).

2. Adds a command line option for starting VNAR with a specified

configuration file (allows multiple desktop ICONs, one for each
configuration).

 

3. Convert to XP-themed Menu Strip, Controls, and color scheme.

 

4. Shortcuts keys to major items (CTRL + letter, or ALT + letter, or
Function key)

have been added.

 

5. You can choose colors for the display traces.

 

6. R+jX  has been added to the rectangular screen marker display (when
S11Mag

trace is enabled).

 

7. Slightly larger marker numbers.

 

8. Ability to display raw cal data and derived compensation parameters in
rectangular

mode (probably not very useful).
