The strange battery voltage just means that Warren doesn't have the battery monitoring circuitry installed, so it is reading a floating input. I only thought of that AFTER releasing the original T238 design, so it takes adding a couple of resistors to create the voltage divider and a Pot if you want to be fairly accurate. The suggested schematic is at http://www.beals5.com/wx/schematics.htm. Warren: If you want to start over putting in sensors from scratch, just go through the setup screens in the order they come up. If I see both a DS8120 and DS18S20, I flag both and ask you to pick. You do need to know the IDs of both to know which is which. The DS18S20s have an extra bit in the ID that helps me pick. There are a couple other sensors that share the same dallas chip and I ask you to remove certain sensors during the process to help. It has been a long time since I've done it, so any feedback would also be appreciated. Your theory about the wrong temperature sensor getting picked makes a lot of sense. Both RH and BP are temperature compensated values, so seeing them both go weird suggests a common cause. Would be nice if the practice matches the theory! :) will -----Original Message----- From: wxsig-bounces at lists.tapr.org [mailto:wxsig-bounces at lists.tapr.org] On Behalf Of John Koster Sent: Sunday, September 18, 2005 3:30 AM To: Warren Cc: TAPR Weather Station SIG Mailing List Subject: RE: [wxsig] Transparent Hurricane OK, it's been 6 months since I've had time to play with mine. Isn't the "battery voltage" reading the voltage comming in the power connector? -- 73, John, W9DDD On Sun, 18 Sep 2005, Warren wrote: > Well, it wasn't at that time.
