Hi,
As I mention in my previous mail there is something wrong with the
rain gauge display reading in milimeters. Below is a table with
the first column indicating the rain gauge's tipping bucket tip,
next the reading in mm of the T238+ LCD and in the last column
the reading as calculated #tip * 0.254 rounded in one decimal
digit.
rain tip LCD (mm) should be
1 0.3 0.3
2 0.5 0.5
3 0.6 <- 0.8
4 0.8 <- 1.0
5 1.5 <- 1.3
6 1.3 <- 1.5
7 1.8 1.8
8 2.0 2.0
9 2.3 2.3
10 2.5 2.5
11 3.0 <- 2.8
12 2.8 <- 3.0
13 3.5 <- 3.3
14 3.3 <- 3.6
15 3.8 3.8
16 4.0 4.1
17 4.3 4.3
18 4.5 4.6
19 5.0 <- 4.8
20 4.8 <- 5.1
Note that in 0.01" increments and english units there is no
problem. Also note that since in actual packet the number is
in inch hundrendths it is transmitted correct though the
display reads wrong in mm as can be seen below
#tip: 12 LCD: 02.8mm
SV2DOF-4>WX1W,WIDE3-3 <UI C>:_02011621c180s000t068P012r012h..b.....e1w
#tip: 13 LCD: 03.5mm
SV2DOF-4>WX1W,WIDE3-3 <UI C>:_02011621c180s000t068P013r013h..b.....e1w
#tip: 14 LCD: 03.3mm
SV2DOF-4>WX1W,WIDE3-3 <UI C>:_02011622c180s000t068P014r014h..b.....e1w
Also, differences such 4.0/4.1 4.5/4.6 at this point is of minor
importance.
