John: Yes, it should work OK. Main thing to keep in mind is that the X1W-1 does require special supplementary power wiring to work, it is not "bus powered". I tried making this additional wiring a bit easier on the T238+ by breaking out the signals for easier wiring, but it just means a bit more fiddling with the T238. Do get the latest SW drop too. As John says the downloads work for both platforms. will -----Original Message----- From: wxsig-bounces at lists.tapr.org [mailto:wxsig-bounces at lists.tapr.org] On Behalf Of John Koster Sent: Sunday, May 28, 2006 9:15 AM To: TAPR Weather Station SIG Mailing List Subject: Re: [wxsig] N4XI X1W-1 kit and T238 Not sure if this answers your question, but the T238 Classic and the T238+ use the same code. From a hardware standpoint, the 1-wire interface is the same also. You would want to update the Classic with Will's latest release to be sure you have the X1W-1 support in it. I don't thing the early versions of the code had support. -- 73, John, W9DDD On Sun, 28 May 2006, John Vause wrote: > Anyone know if TAPR's N4XI X1W-1 barometer kit is compatible with the > original T238? > _______________________________________________ wxsig mailing list wxsig at lists.tapr.org https://lists.tapr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/wxsig
