John,

As John Koster (W9DDD) pointed out, it should be compatible with either
hardware version of the T238 providing you get the lastest firmware
installed. I have it running on a system in Princeton (IN) with no
problems.

The full design and calibration spec is given in the on-line manual. If
you want to tweak it on your own, take your time when you go through the
description. It really is not that hard to digest.

Sorry for not responding directly to the list, but there is a problem
with my profile on the list server that I have yet to get around to
fixing. I can receive, but cannot send.
