Subject: Availability of Software

Greetings to the list,
I have just completed building some of the components of the
N4XI/X1W-1 weather station. I constructed the RS232 to 1 wire module,
the barometer module and the DS2423 counter module (for rain gauge
and wind speed). I constructed everything "ugly" style without
commercial circuit boards but as neatly as possible cemented onto a
piece of copper clad board.

I have tested the modules with the tstfind utility and at least some
of the one wire logic is working ok and also I can see the analogue
voltage from the op amp circuit for the barometeric pressure sensor
and its tracking fine.

The Maxim site where I got all my DS series ICs is somewhat
overwhelming to say the least, and not at all organized in the way my
mind works. Has anyone written some nice simple standalone windows
programs (WinXP) which will talk to these modules? or maybe produced
some VB code which I can use to build on?

Thanks and 73.
