Refer to the layout diagram for clarification of parts placement. All references to up, down, left, and right assume that you are looking at the PCB with the silkscreen TAPR logo oriented up on the board. Unless noted otherwise, all components are mounted on the top of the PC board.
TO-92 refers to those devices that share the same style of case and leads to connect to the circuit. All appear to be a small-signal type transistor with three leads emanating from the bottom of the device. Devices of this type in the kit are voltage regulators, PIOs (1-Wire I/O), a temperature sensor, and V-MOSFETs. Be sure you are installing the correct type at each location before soldering.
These are polarity sensitive devices. If installed wrong and voltage is applied, they will be destroyed, even if for less than a second. Be certain they are correctly aligned with the silkscreen pattern before soldering.
